Is higher PPI always better?
Not on its own — PPI is pixels per inch of screen, and what your eye resolves depends on how far away the screen is. A phone held close and a television across a room can look equally sharp at very different PPI, because the figure that matters is pixels per degree of your field of view, which is PPI multiplied by the viewing distance. Compare two screens at the distance you actually use them.
