Habit Stack Builder

Take a habit you already do every day, list the new ones you want to attach to it, and say how many minutes you actually have. You get the stack written out in 'after X, I will Y' order with the time budget split across the habits — and a plain warning when the list does not fit in the time. It is a planner, not a training programme, a therapy or medical advice: it orders what you chose and nothing more.

Worked example

Habit Stack Builder 3 habit(s) in 15 minute(s) available, anchored to: I brush my teeth 1. After I brush my teeth, I will Stretch (5 min) 2. After Stretch, I will Read (5 min) 3. After Read, I will Journal (5 min) Total: 15 min of 15 min available. This is a scheduling tool, not a training programme, a therapy or medical advice. It only decides the ORDER of the habits you listed and splits the minutes you said you had; it does not choose habits for you, judge them, or promise that stacking them will make them stick. If a habit involves exercise and you are new to training, pregnant, or returning from injury or illness, speak to a qualified coach or a clinician first.

Frequently asked

What makes a good anchor?

Something you already do every single day without deciding to — brushing your teeth, the kettle going on, sitting down at your desk. The tool takes your word for it; it cannot check whether the anchor is really daily.

How is the time split?

Evenly across the habits you listed, in whole minutes, with any remainder going to the earliest habits so the total matches the minutes you entered exactly.

What if my habits do not fit?

It says so instead of quietly rounding to zero. If you list more habits than you have minutes, you get a line telling you it is under a minute each and to cut the list or raise the time.

Does habit stacking work?

This tool makes no such claim. It formats a plan; whether you do it is another matter. If a habit involves exercise and you are new to training, pregnant, or returning from injury or illness, speak to a qualified coach or clinician first.
