Worked example
Need on final: 108.666667% · Feasible?: No (>100%)
How it’s solved
Worked on the example above, step by step — follow along and you can do it on paper next time, no tool required.
- Your current grade already covers the non-final part of the course; the final must close the rest of the gap to your target.
- Grade carried in (current × the non-final weight)
82 × (1 − 30%) = 57.4 - Subtract that from your target
90 − 57.4 = 32.6 - Divide by the final's weight to get the score you need
32.6 ÷ 30% = 108.666667%
