Weights & Measures Scale Certification Log

Record a commercial scale service properly: device class and capacity, seal or audit-trail count, traceable test weights, then as-found errors before any adjustment, shift and increasing-load tests, and as-left errors after. Tolerances and certification intervals are fields you take from the handbook edition your state adopted. Good for service agencies and for anyone who has to show a sealer a history.

Frequently asked

Is this an official certification?

No — it is a record-keeping form, not a certification and not a regulatory filing. Only a registered service agency and your state or county sealer can certify, seal or condemn a commercial device, usually via a placed-in-service report on their own form.

Why record as-found errors separately?

Because the as-found reading is the evidence of how the device was actually performing in commerce; adjusting first and recording once erases exactly the fact an inspector is looking for.
