Governance Policy Set

Conflict of interest, whistleblower, document retention and destruction, and nondiscrimination — produced as adoptable paragraphs with fields for your organisation, the adopting body, the adoption date and the review cycle. If you ran the Grant Writer Desk's readiness report and it flagged these four as missing, this is the tool that closes that gap. They are starting language to adapt with your own counsel and to align with your bylaws, not compliant boilerplate — a policy has effect because your board adopted it, not because a tool printed it.

Frequently asked

Are these compliant?

That is not a question a document can answer on its own. They are widely-used starting language. Whether they meet a particular funder's requirement, or a requirement where you are, is for you and your counsel to check — and the policy only does anything once the board formally adopts it.

Why these four?

Because they are the four that grant applications and funder due-diligence ask about most consistently. The Grant Writer Desk's organisation profile asks whether you hold each one; this produces them.

Does the retention policy tell me how long to keep things?

No. Retention periods differ by record type and by jurisdiction and they change. The policy provides the structure and the review cycle; the periods are yours to set.
