Are accents and Indic marks safe?
Yes. Combining marks are part of the letter they sit on, not punctuation — removing the Devanagari virama would change which consonant is written, and stripping accents would quietly rewrite words. They stay with their letter.
Does it remove spaces?
No, spacing and line breaks are preserved.
